SERVICES

Each of Jim's four locations has a well-trained and friendly staff waiting to serve you. With full-time managers at each location and a great repair team, including a member of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians on staff, our customers are guaranteed the highest level of quality service when they come to Jim's Music. Our staff not only loves the products we carry, we also love music! With over 200 years of musical experience between the staff members, we are ready to answer any questions you may have!

Jim's Music has been providing private instruction in the area for over 20 years. With a teaching staff of over 23 professional, highly trained instructors, we are certain we can teach you something new. Areas of teaching offered are acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, several band instruments, and a variety of different folk and bluegrass instruments. You are never too young or old to start learning a new instrument and our teachers instruct people of all ages and experience levels.

Jim's Music carries full lines of electric and acoustic guitars, banjos, drums, digital and acoustic pianos, amplifiers, and sound system equipment. With our extensive rent-to-own program, Jim's Music has also been providing instruments and services for the UP's school band and orchestra programs since 1988. Jim's Music also has a professional sound division called "Ludington Sound" which designs, installs, and troubleshoots sound systems for churches, schools, dance clubs, and outdoor functions throughout the Upper Peninsula.

HISTORY

Jim's Music has been your hometown music store since Jim and Karen Dombrowski opened it in 1986. Starting out as a small family-owned business, Jim's quickly grew into the Upper Peninsula's largest music retailer. In the summer of 2003, we expanded our business by opening a second location in Marquette, and in 2007 we opened our third location in Iron Mountain. In 2010 we purchsed Henri's Music of Wisconsin and began our fourth location in Green Bay, WI.
