Summer is coming to an end and what better time to pick up a new hobby for the winter! Stop in at your local Jim’s Music and get yourself a new guitar for a nice night around a camp fire or just a cozy night at home. We have a huge selection of brands and models so you can find the guitar that fits you just right.
Today I want to take some time to talk about a specific guitar that I have found to be a great product even for someone on a budget. This month I am happy to introduce you to the Fender CD-60 guitar series.
This guitar comes from a company that has undoubtedly been the most well known guitar manufacturer for the past half a century. Fender has a tradition of making fine instruments and this one is no exception. First I would like to talk about a few of the cosmetics of the instrument.
This guitar comes in a dreadnought body style in a number of finishes including natural, sunburst and black. This year Fender decided to give the guitar a facelift and include a new mother-of-pearl acrylic rosette design, new chrome hardware, and a new compensated bridge design.
You can get this guitar either standard or with a cut-away and electronics giving it even more versatility. This guitar has a spruce top for great tone and nato back and sides and neck for increased durability, a rosewood fretboard, and a nice gloss finish to top it all off.
The CD-60CE comes with a Fishman pickup system with active onboard preamp, tuner, volume and tone controls and all the same great features of the CD-60 standard.
I have had extensive time to sit down with this guitar series and I can tell you first hand that it’s a great guitar for basic strum work right through to classical finger picking style. The guitar has a very even tone so you won’t notice highs or lows coming out too strong, and weight wise the guitar is extremely well balanced.
Oh and did a mention it comes with a HARD CASE!?! Yeah that’s right, Fender has put together one of the sweetest guitar package deals on the market by throwing in a beautiful fitted hard case that I would put up against any case on the market for quality and durability.
Now for the most shocking detail of all; the price. You can pick up the CD-60 standard at any Jim’s Music location for a meager $215.00 and the CD-60CE for only $269.99!
If there is one thing I can tell you, its that this great line of guitars wont be around long, so hurry into your local Jim’s Music or click on the link below and get your hands on this great buy. You wont regret it!
