Features:
“Tonemster” English Electronics (valco, Supro) Mid 60s Tonemaster by English Electronics, owned by the same company that made Supro, Valco and National Guitars. Overall fair - good condition. This model features: wooden body(may be ply - may be birch) NOT RES-O-GLASS, factory black finish, rosewood fretboard with 24.5 in scale length. Tuning machines are early Kluson deluxe “butterfly” style. Tuning machines are bent but fully functional. The guitar has lots of finish scratches, checking, dings and dents. The fretboard shows wear in the first position and the frets show some pitting - but the wear and pitting do not hinder playability. The neck is big and chunky. Exactly what you'd expect from a 60’s catalog guitar. The neck humbucker, and hardware are tarnished/oxidized but are fully functional. The electronics are original besides the input jack. That has been replaced. The neck pickup is thick and warm sounding. There is also a piezo style pickup in the bridge. The Piezo Pickup is supposed to emulate an acoustic guitar sound. It functions as is but sounds very tinny and a bit harsh. It also features three knobs - Volume, and 2 tone variations and a three way blade switch (neck humbucker, Humbucker and piezo, and bridge piezo). Original case included. Case is functional as is - missing some of the tolex/covering on the outside ends and inner lining of the lid.
